Jingool
Crypto Merchandise
The concept behind this project was to create merchandise products that are not just promotional items, but also high-quality and useful products that people would want to purchase and keep. The company's main focus was on crypto wallets, but they wanted to expand their online shop by adding a line of merchandise. We were the first company in Iran to introduce this type of accessories.
As the product designer and ideator, I led the project from inception to completion. Based on a wide range of research on both concepts and products, this line of merchandise called "JINGOOL" came to life.

Research
Our project was the first of its kind in Iran, with a crypto seller promoting a line of high-quality accessories alongside their main product offering. As the product designer and ideator, I conducted extensive research in two main categories, crypto users and merchandise products.
Firstly, I did extensive research on the crypto world and its users. Throughout the research process, I gathered information about our potential target group including their age, lifestyle, and type of work, ensuring that our product designs and marketing strategy aligned with their needs and preferences.
Secondly, I researched the different types of accessories available, their production phases, and the costs and benefits associated with them. This allowed us to select the most suitable types of accessories to produce for our target audience. I studied similar products already on the market, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses. This helped us to identify areas where we could improve upon existing products and stand out in a crowded marketplace.

Concept develpement
After conducting extensive research, I developed the concept for the accessory line and began the design phase. Using the insights gathered during my research, I created mockups to visualize the final product designs. I refined the designs based on feedback and made adjustments to ensure they were both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
In this phase, the list of merchandise products was created. Based on our target group and their taste, the final list included T-shirts, tote bags, magnets, mugs, and posters.
During the design phase, I paid close attention to the color and typography choices for each product. Color carries meaning and can evoke certain emotions, while typography is a critical component of the design form. As such, I carefully selected color schemes and typography that aligned with the company's brand and the target audience's preferences.

Design
Following the creation of the initial mockups, I refined the designs based on feedback from the team and other stakeholders. I also encountered some limitations during the manufacturing process, such as restrictions on printed colors, quantity, and available materials. In this phase, I worked closely with graphic designers and producers.
To overcome these limitations, I made strategic decisions such as producing t-shirts in just two colors, black and white. Similarly, for posters, we designed them to be a standard size based on frame size to minimize production costs and make them more accessible to our target audience.
Despite these limitations, we were able to create high-quality and visually appealing products that were well-received by our customers.

Production
The production phase was a challenging aspect of the project, as each product had different suppliers and manufacturers. Coordinating with all of them to ensure that the products were completed on time required careful planning and organization.
To support the launch of the product line, I also created dedicated Instagram and Twitter pages to introduce and promote the products to our target audience. This helped to generate interest and excitement around the product line.
Packaging was another critical aspect of the project. I developed packaging designs that were both visually appealing and functional, keeping in mind the need to protect the products during shipping. The packaging also served as an important branding element, reinforcing the company's visual identity and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Reflection
Overall, the project was a success, but as with any project, there is always room for improvement. I sought out feedback from customers to gain insights into how we could enhance the products and make them even more appealing to our target audience.
Based on this feedback, I made several design changes to the products to better align with customer needs and preferences. These changes helped to improve the overall quality and appeal of the product line, and we continued to receive positive feedback from customers as a result.

Undertaking this project was a challenging and rewarding experience. It required collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including suppliers, printing companies, graphic designers, sellers, and photographers.
Through this process, I gained valuable insights into the intricacies of project management and learned how to coordinate with multiple parties to achieve a common goal. I also developed strong communication and negotiation skills, which proved invaluable in navigating the complexities of the production process.
Furthermore, the project allowed me to hone my design skills and gain a deeper understanding of color theory, typography, and packaging design. These skills will undoubtedly serve me well in future design projects and endeavors. Overall, this project was a valuable learning experience that has helped me to grow both personally and professionally.
